Hello Potential Client and/or Parent,
The process may seem overwhelming, but we will get you through it as seamless as possible. The request for services is typically determined by a pediatrician, neurologist, psychiatrist, or psychologist who conducts testing.
1. Whomever provides the initial recommendation, the doctor will need to provide an evaluation report using assessments that specifically substantiate the diagnosis (e.g., Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder).
2. The doctor needs to write a script. Just like it sounds, a request for ABA services on a traditional script pad.
3. A brief letter (typically a page) that explains the behaviors of concern and areas for skill development.
With a signed release, we can reach out to the prescribing doctor to gather the information. We will work with you through the entire process.
Once we have that information, we will submit an authorization with the state for approval. Once it is approved, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will begin the process with the parent and child. At this point, the BCBA will be your guide to assist, consult, and collaborate to meet your child's needs.
Also, all parents will have access to a parent portal upon approval. This is another tool to communicate with necessary persons. We want this to run as smoothly as possible.
